Embracing New Horizons: A Social Media Transition
A New Chapter in My Digital Life
Change is a constant, and as I step into a new phase of my digital
presence, I’m making a small but meaningful shift in how I connect online.
Going forward, any Meta platform solely be dedicated solely to managing my clients’ social media pages. I would delete them completely but I am in the Media/Public Relation/Marketing field. I left Twitter years ago and I haven’t posted on IG for quite a while. For personal interactions, I’m making the move to BlueSkySocial. You can find me here: AxisPHX
If you're looking to keep up with my eclectic interests, thoughts, and creative exploration, just want to say hello.
Additionally, here my personal blog remains a space where I share
musings, projects, and discoveries.
Looking forward to continuing the conversation—whether in business or in
friendship—wherever we meet online.
Finding Balance in a Blank Slate
There’s something oddly liberating about starting fresh. When I set up my Blue Sky profile and saw a blank page with zero followers, I felt a wave of calm—a reminder that social media doesn’t have to be a cacophony of noise. For the first time in years, I could breathe deeply again. This reset mirrored the clarity I found after marching on MLK Day, surrounded by inspiring humans united in purpose. That energy—raw, hopeful, and uncommodified—is what I’ve craved online but rarely found.
Algorithms, I’ve realized, often devour authenticity. They prioritize engagement over connection, turning platforms into echo chambers of outrage or performativity. My decision to step back personally from here wasn’t sudden; it’s been brewing for years as toxicity seeped into my experience.
Carrying the Torch Forward
Human connection—not metrics—will always be the force that propels us. My advocacy, passions, and belief in collective action haven’t dimmed; they’re simply migrating to spaces where intentionality thrives. I’ll still show up for “good fights and good work,” just not here.
To those I’ve crossed paths with:I have your back. In rooms you’re not in, at tables where you don’t sit, in places you’re excluded from—I’ll carry your voice. We’re in this together, even if our paths diverge digitally.
Here’s to New Journeys
This isn’t goodbye but a redirection. Let’s nurture light over noise, depth over distraction. Whether we reconnect on Blue Sky, through my blog, or elsewhere, I’m hopeful for the conversations and communities ahead.
Keep shining. Keep showing up.
See you on the other side.
sincerely,
Jeffrey
